The text of a document shall outline a trademark&#8217;s word name, date of registration or date on which it has been submitted for registration, registered classes and a brief description of where the trademark is used.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Description of the Parties<\/strong><\/em>. The parties involved in a trademark transfer agreement are an assignor and an assignee. An assignor is a current owner of a trademark who transfers their intellectual property rights. A witness cannot be a party to the agreement.<\/p>\n<h3>Register the Document<\/h3>\n<p>The next step is to register an assignee as a new owner of a trademark with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipaustralia.gov.au\/\"><em>IP Australi<\/em><\/a>a. An assignee is considered as a new owner of a trademark only upon the registration being finalised. The parties must submit a signed copy of a trademark transfer agreement and a signed registration form, as well as pay a registration fee.
