    This is the date starting from which a tenant would be obliged to pay the new rental amount.

    Since a rent increase notice should be sent well in advance, a landlord should carefully check the current lease agreement regarding the notice period. The effective date of changes cannot be earlier than the last day of a required notice period under a lease agreement.

    Depending on a type of a contract a notice period could be from 14 to 60 days.
